Normally we at TrojanWire like to promote online competitions for USC Song Girls and hot Trojan students because…well that’s just how we roll. But every once and a while something bigger comes along. Childrens Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and USC’s Keck school of medicine have enjoyed a long partnership dating back as far as the 1930s. And now CHLA needs the Trojan Spirit to shine through.
The Starlight foundation will add a mobile Starlight fun center to the three Children’s hospitals that receive the highest number of votes.
Colgate’s Starlight Children’s foundation has teamed up with Nintendo to provide free “fun centers” to hospitalized children. According to the Starlight foundation’s website, the units equipped with a Nintendo Wii™, a Sharp AQUOS™ LCD television, and a DVD player to alleviate the stress, loneliness and isolation that accompany a child’s hospital stay. All units are on wheels and can be enjoyed at a child’s bedside or anywhere in the hospital setting.
