Former Trojans hoops star and Memphis Grizzlies guard O.J. Mayo will participate in the inaugural H-O-R-S-E errrr G-E-I-C-O competition during NBA All-Star Saturday night in Phoenix (8 p.m. ET, TNT). Mayo will compete against Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant and Atlanta Hawks guard Joe Johnson. G-E-I-C-O is sponsoring the event. Is nothing sacred anymore?
The match will be held outdoors. Standard rules apply (If you don’t know the rules of H-O-R-S-E, move back to Russia). Players will have 24 seconds to make their shot and an NBA referee will oversee the match. Dunking will not be allowed
O.J. Mayo and Kevin Druant will also play in the “Rookies” vs. “Sophomores” challenge Friday, Feb. 13 (9 p.m. ET, TNT). Atlanta Hawks guard Joe Johnson will play in the All-Star Game on Sunday.
