Despite Matt Cassel’s surprise 11-5 finish, throwing for 3,693 yards, with 21 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, when asked if he would compete against Tom Brady for control of the Patriots next season, Cassel humbly stepped back and told the nation the Pats are “Tom’s team.” Well, it looks like the rising star of 2008 has found a team to call his own as Cassel was traded to the Chiefs (along with LB Mike Vrabel) in return for a second round, 34th overall pick. And indications are that Cassel will start immediately, supplanting Tyler Thigpen as the new Chiefton in Kansas City.
