Maybe it’s a cruel April Fools Joke, but word is that Tim Floyd met with Arizona athletic director Jim Livengood today. Even more disgusting is that Mark Asher of Sports 620 KTAR, ESPN’s radio affiliate in Phoenix, is already reporting that Floyd is going to be announced as Arizona’s new head coach. Floyd has coached at USC since 2005 and has posted a 85-50 record. Floyd’s Trojans made three NCAA tournament appearances in that span, including the Sweet 16 in 2007.

Arizona, USC and Tim Floyd have yet to make official comments. Stay tuned for developments.
