The NFL released a statement denouncing unconfirmed rumors that certain draft prospects had failed their combine drug tests, reports Sam Farmer of the LA Times. Controversy erupted when USC linebackers Brian Cushing and Clay Matthews, projected first round picks, were among those draft prospects accused of using illegal substances by website NFL Draft Bible. Draft Bible claimed to have gotten the information from “reputable sources” including “an NFL team,” a claim Pete Carroll denies and the NFL calls “terribly unfair.”

  1. I just sent both the CEO and the President of Operations at NFL Draft Bible a big congrats on tanking their reputation as a legit source for news. I encourage other Trojan fans to do the same.
