Ben Malcolmson from petecarroll.com broke the news this afternoon that Sophomore Aaron Corp is Saturday’s starting quarterback for the Trojan Huddle scrimmage. Corp will also be the starter through the summer and into Fall Camp.

Coach Carroll said of the decision:

“We have to name a starter for the spring game and Corp is in the lead at this point. We’re going to carry the competition on through Fall Camp. Matt (Barkley) had a great spring and was right there pushing for the job, but he just hasn’t had enough time to learn everything. But on the field, he played like a starter.”

Matt Barkley is the backup quarterback and Mitch Mustain is third on the depth chart.
