Here is an article from today’s Daily Trojan about Coach Carroll’s twitter account (twitter.com/petecarroll). Coach Carroll has over 12,000 followers.

“It’s not about football for me,” Carroll said. “It’s just about connecting and seeing what’s going on. There’s not gonna be any deep, dark secrets on it. The last thing I want to do is tell people to where I’m going all the time. It’s just kind of a cute little thing to do for fun.”

On the opposite end of the spectrum is Oregon football coach Chip Kelly. When asked if he has any interest using Twitter to contact players Chip said:

“Who cares what I had for breakfast? You think a recruit’s going to come to Oregon because I ate Oreos?”

I am sure Coach Kelly also thinks that cell phones and the internet are just a “fad”.

Don’t worry, you won’t get any tweets from us about eating Oreos for breakfast. We mainly reblog our content. And everyone knows Trojans only eat Wheaties, the Breakfast of Champions.
