Former “Showtime” era Laker and 1987 NBA defensive player of the year, Michael Cooper, is the new head coach of the USC women’s basketball team. The Lady Trojans were 17-15 last season and reached the Pac-10 Conference tournament final.

Cooper formerly coached the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA for 8 seasons.
