The O.C. Register has some quotes from Daniel Hackett on Tim Floyd’s resignation:
Hackett considered Floyd’s resignation a “selfless” act, theorizing that the accusations against him would bring unwanted attention to the program next season.
“He put the team in front of himself. He put the school and program in front of himself. I think it’s a great gesture,” said Hackett, who acknowledged that Floyd disagreed with his decision to turn pro.
“It’s a shame that the perception of people is that Coach Floyd hurt this program. It’s the exact opposite.”
