The best uncommitted quarterback of 2010 has finally decided between Tennessee, Southern California and Florida. The 6-2″, 200 lbs Lakewood high school quarterback Jesse Scroggins, plans to announce his decision tomorrow, July 22nd. And nobody except his parents and his coach know what his ultimate decision is. Scroggins had been leaning toward Tennessee, that is until a solid performance at USC’s Rising Stars Camp landed him a Carroll offer. The question is whether Matt Barkley waiting in the wings will deter Scroggins from joining the Trojans. But the Sanchez episode, gaining a $60 million contract after only a year starting shows the big plus of coming to a team entrenched in the national spotlight. That, and USC is only 20 minutes from Scroggins home town.
If Scroggins chooses ‘SC, he will follow highly touted Lakewood safety Dion Bailey, who committed to the Trojans last week.
