Jimmy Clausen’s Parents Have Sold Their Home in South Bend and Other Notre Dame Musings

jimmy-clausen-notre-dame-fighting-irishThings that are official:

* The Clausens bought a house when their son enrolled at Notre Dame. They put the house up for sale in July, and it recently sold.
* Following this weekend’s game at Stanford, coach Charlie Weis will return to South Bend instead of recruiting on the West Coast.

Everyone knows Weis is gone. And Clausen appears ready to be a Top 10 pick in the draft (Redskins?). This probably also means Golden Tate will be declaring for the NFL, too.

Who replaces Weis? We’re putting no stock in soft denials from Stoops, Meyer, Kelly, whomever … until Notre Dame formally presents an offer and gets rejected.

In a football note, Clausen v. Luck should be a thrilling 41-40 barnburner Saturday.
