Where Are They Now: Harold Miner

I am sure you remember Harold Miner aka “Baby Jordan.”

While playing at USC in 1992 Miner was voted Sports Illustrated college basketball player of the year. He beat out Shaq and Christian Laettner for the award. That same season he became USC’s all-time leading scorer and led the Trojans to a No. 2 seed in the 1992 NCAA Tournament. The Trojans eventually lost to Georgia Tech on a buzzer beater.

Miner’s NBA career was less fantastic. He played for the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavs.  His biggest accomplishment was winning two slam duck contests (1993 and 1995). He retired from the NBA in 1997.

Yahoo ran a story this week on the former Trojan. He is doing well, living the good life in Las Vegas. He saved his money, made smart investments after basketball and seems to be happy.
