While it’s dangerous for a writer to psychoanalyze another human being who he has never met, I shall do it anyway. Because I cannot imagine another reason for Larry Vanover’s calls unless Vanover was upset at the lack of strike zone oversight and accountability in Major League Baseball and purposely missed on those pitches. Call Vanover what you will, a whistle blower, a futurist, a Robotanist, but perhaps baseball will finally engage in meaningful conversation regarding the use of technology in the game of baseball. Which, now that I type it, is ridiculous. Of course that’s not going to happen.
