Matt Barkley Career Highlights: 2009-12

It all started on a hot summer day against San Jose State in 2009 when Pete Carroll was still head coach.

12,327 passing yards and 116 touchdown passes later, Barkley leaves atop the record books in career passing yards and career touchdown passes, just to name a few records that define his legacy at SC.

Things may not have ended the way the Trojan Nation hoped, but Matt Barkley stood by USC during its darkest hours, preventing the apocalyptic scenario many envisioned when the sanctions, unreasonably and excessively cruel in nature, were first levied.

Barkley proved invaluable to this team, and his successor, be it Max Wittek, Cody Kessler, or Max Browne, have a tall order ahead of them replacing MB#7.

Fight On, Matt!
