Curtis McNeal was the little engine that could. The way he played, he didn’t play like he was 5’7″, most notably when he broke a tackle on Manti Te’o in 2011.
His 701 rushing yards weren’t as high as his 1000+ yards in 2011, in part due to injury, but he never complained as Penn State transfer Silas Redd took the majority of carries in 2012.
But when Silas Redd needed a hand, Curtis McNeal managed three 100+ yard performances against Cal, ASU, and fUCLA.
Check out Curtis’ highlights in his final season as a Trojan.
